The Right Balance

I first started learning Norwegian with Helen five years ago. What I have learned in that time frame is immense, and Helen has adjusted our lessons to my increasing proficiency smoothly and with care. She always strikes the right balance between challenge and comfort, and at the end of each session I find myself looking back with pride at what she helped me to accomplish. From the basics of the language when I first started to the books that we are now reading and analyzing together, Helen has met me at each step of the way and helped me to expand my grasp of Norwegian. I cannot recommend her tutoring highly enough.

Learn at a Deeper Level

Sarah and Helen’s Norwegian language classes have been crucial for my language skills development. I started learning like a lot of people do, with an app, and while this may have been good for learning vocabulary, my skills didn’t really start to develop until I began classes with Sarah and Helen. If you are serious about learning Norwegian, you should strongly consider their classes. You will learn the language at a deeper level than an app will teach you and you will speak Norwegian with others starting on the first day.

Fun and Thoughtful Curriculum

I am so grateful to have found Helen. My daughter has been able to work with her one-on-one for the past five years and she has learned so much. Not only does Helen put together a fun and thoughtful curriculum that my daughter has always found interesting, but she is truly masterful in teaching diction, syntax and grammar in a no-friction way. My daughter speaks confidently and loves her lessons with Helen because she can be challenged and learn at a good pace, get questions answered clearly, and feel confident knowing her pronunciation and grammar are not only proper but that she can effectively communicate her thoughts and be understood in the real world. In learning a language, it doesn't get much better than that. As a parent, I appreciate deeply Helen's organization, clear communication, and professionalism. Lessons always start on time, billing and logistics have been crystal clear, and I both like and trust Helen deeply.
